Hitachi Vehicle Energy, Ltd. is producing Lithium-ion cells and battery packs which are key products for eco-friendly automobiles like Hybrid-electric vehicle (HEV), Plug-in hybrid-electric vehicle (PHEV) and Electric vehicle (EV).
We will supply products of lightweight, compact and high power for upcoming eco-friendly automobile market expansion, and contribute towards the development of the environment oriented society.

Cylindrical Lithium-ion Battery Cell

5.5Ah:
Mass-production started since 2005. Large number is used worldwide for hybrid-electric trucks, buses and trains. Its quality, reliability is proven by the long period operation in the commercial market.
4.4Ah:
Downsized and light-weighted cell of 5.5Ah. Mass production started since 2010. General Motors and other automobile manufacturers adopted this product to Hybrid-electric passenger cars.

Prismatic Lithium-ion Battery Cell

5.3Ah:
Newly developed product and available to supply evaluation sample to automobile manufacturers as OEM business basis.
Capable to improve gas mileage, CO2 Emission, and total performance of the car.

Lithium-ion Battery Module/Pack

  • Possible to customize module, pack and controling system according to customers requirements.
  • Total battery management system is applied.
  • High technology structure design for high quality and reliability.
