This is because we can expect a synergy effect by cooperating with the various Hitachi Group. Actually, the lithium ion battery development for Hybrid-Electric Vehicles is making daily progress as a result of the cooperation among the corporate laboratory which is the bearer of Hitachi's research development, the Hitachi's Automotive Systems which is handling the vehicle installation system and parts development, and the Hitachi Chemical which is strong in chemical materials.
  • Moreover, a very high safety standard is required for the lithium ion battery because it becomes a part of an automobile. There are various needs since the specifications differ depending on the car model. It is difficult to compare the feeling of accomplishment as the sense of responsibility is enormous.
